He was with the Royal Malaysian Police for more than 20 years and retired as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the year 2003. He then founded the firm T.L. Chen & Co and as a result of his experience in the Police Force, he has handled numerous high profile cases involving drugs and firearms. 6 months after founding of the firm, he sets up the conveyancing department of the firm and has to date has handled total transactions in excess of RM350million in total.
He was with the Royal Malaysian Police for almost than 30 years and retired as a Deputy Chief Superintendent of the Royal Malaysian Police in year 2016. He was roped in by the founding partner of T.L. Chen & Co to co-head the Criminal Litigation department of the firm due to his good reputation with the Royal Malaysian Police.
He was a High Court Judge in Shah Alam High Court.
His principal areas of practice include share and business acquisitions and disposals, privatizations and mergers, inward and outward investments and private equity investments, local and regional joint ventures and real estate based transactions. He has a strong following of estate negotiators and bankers and specializes in sub sale transactions.
His joined the firm as part of the Firm’s Civil Litigation expansion plan and specialises in family and property law related litigation matters.
